The tournament will be held at the “Ioannis Melissanidis” Sports Hall, which forms part of the National Gym of Mikra sports complex.

The competition venue, which is renowned as one of the best artistic gymnastics training centers in Europe, is the home of the Greek national artistic and rhythmic gymnastics teams in Thessaloniki. It was inaugurated in 1997 and was named after the first Olympic champion of Hellenic Gymnastics in the 20th century, Ioannis Melissanidis, who had just won the gold medal on floor exercise at the Atlanta 1006 Olympic Games.

The venue boasts of a complete artistic gymnastics apparatus set on podium, and has got capacity of some 1,000 spectators.
In addition, it hosts the main office of AESGVE (Athletic Gymnastics Clubs Union of Northern Hellas) and the Thessaloniki branch of the Hellenic Gymnastics Federation, plus a special events hall with 200 seats.

During its 20 years of existence, “Ioannis Melissanidis” Sports Hall has welcomed quite a few international tournaments under the auspices of FIG and UEG, some of which have been the Rhythmic Gymnastics FIG World Cup in August 2000, the Artistic Gymnastics FIG World Cup in March 2003, starring local idols Melissanidis, Tampakos, Maras and Tsolakidis, the 2005 Acrobatic Gymnastics European Championships, and also many artistic, rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics national championships.
